Job description

Timber Windows
Porirua

I need a experienced professional to fit three cedar double glazed window sashes in an existing hardwood box window. They are custom made to fit the window box and I have stripped, rough sanded and treated the timber of the existing frame (old sashes in photo are attached with a couple of screws only to seal until replacement). I have suitable stainless steel hinges for the two edge windows that need to open and also permanent weather seals. I would like you to: 1. patch and repair the existing the existing frame if needed for the install (am holding off painting it till you see it) 2. fit the seals (I have a suitable router bit that I got with the seals 1/4inch shank) 3. mount/route in the hinges in the 2 of the sashes and the frame so they open and close evenly with a good seal. note as you would expect the old hinge locations have damaged wood so new locations are required or repair of the old locations. 4. install the non opening sash middle sash with suitable edging to weather seal it, old one had 1/4 rounds, matching the style of the new sash edging would be preferred. 5. Making a new internal windowsill and edging to finish, (I have some potentially suitable H3 treated and undercoated timber (230x18 dressed barge board extras) on site as an option to use for this ) Access is via 60 steps down or 150 up. I will be around to act as an extra pair of hands and to lug whatever but would like the expertise to get this done well. A slide dropsaw and various OK but DIY level tools are around to use as well. Timeframe is whenever you can make it, soon preferred. Im around on site working on other things, mostly trims and landscape etc.
