Unjam Windows in Old Villa

Our home has several windows that need unjamming please. Original sash windows with cords and weights, as well as some with broken spiral sash balances. What is needed is someone to help free up the windows so that they will go up and down. Not looking to replace the sash balances at this time, though would be interested to do this in future when can afford this as well. If you can unjam our windows without breaking the glass or destroying the timber, then please make contact :-) Thanks
