Repair aluminium window leak

I have 2 aluminium windows one above the other in the living room. The top window smaller section opens. The living room is one level up so the living room windows are above the ranchslider on the ground floor. They are both letting water in and wetting the window sill at the bottom right-hand corner of each window. It's only these 2 corners, the rest of the windows are OK. In the photos, you'll see the wood got wet and the paint peeled off revealing the old dark walnut stain that's underneath. Windows are from late 1970's. Also the wedge rubber is old and does not meet the corners
