Tint glass in outdoor roof

I have an open outdoor area with thermal roof panels. In that same roof are 2 light grey tinted toughened glass panels. measuring approximately 3.5 meters x 1.5 meters in total. The problem is that by late afternoon I am unable to use it because of hot sun and glare. My question is .... would 3M UV Tint overcome the problem or can you suggest what else I can do.
