We built our house in 1980 and moved in Christmas Eve that same year. Now it is just starting to show 'wear & tear' so replacement of ranchsliders and some windows is necessary. However I suffered a cranial aneurysm resulting in a stroke affecting my left side. We've had to install ramps & alter doorways for wheelchair access; plus last year we became superannuitants, so budgeting is a priority. Eventually we'd also like to raise the whole house to increase living/sleeping space to accommodate our family of 5 adult children and their partners, 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren every Christmas AND for my husband's surprise 70th birthday in 3 years time!!! Shshsh! A larger carport would also be part of the dream with solar panels.
