Fix Broken Window

I need a glass replacement on a single glazed aluminium frame window in an upstairs bedroom that I’m currently decorating. The wind slammed it shut yesterday and broke it. I will remove all broken glass from the frame this morning. I don’t necessarily need lead light though I’ve been advised to get a quote for this to submit to my insurance company but then just get plain glass fitted. However as my excess is $750 I’m not sure that’s even worth it. I’d be happy with standard window glass as we don’t really like the lead light and there’s no windows near it to match. Size is 553 x 1051 though the lap into the frame would be a few mm more obviously. Appreciate you’d need to attend site to measure and then return. If outside access is required there is a low garage roof right outside (it’s a wide opening fire escape type window which may be why the wind got it). It opens from bottom out. I’d like the job done as economically as possible given insurance is probably not an option but happy to pay a fair price. Full payment on completion by whichever method you prefer is fine 🙂 Ideally I’d like it done before Friday 16th as we are away for 2 weeks from then. However access can be arranged with a neighbour or relative if not. Thank you. Drew.
