Disconnect old gas cooker and connect replacement

Hi. My free standing cooker has died and I have a second hand replacement that will need connection to gas once the old one is removed. The replacement is second hand about four years old. There is currently no plug on the replacement stove so I’m thinking I might need a sparky as well. Not sure if I do that before or after the plumbing?
