Replace gas hot water heater

Our current gas hot water heater is quite old and so the pilot light often goes out, and we also do not have very good hot water pressure. Also, the gas hot water heater is currently inside the house (in the laundry) and we would like to move it outside the house. Therefore, we would like to investigate replacing the current gas hot water heater (see the photo below) to address these issues.
