Remove Gas Fireplace & Install Electric Replacement – Power in Cavity (Miramar)

Looking for a certified gasfitter (and an electrician if required) to help with the following at my property in Miramar, Wellington: 🔧 Scope: 1. Disconnect and remove existing Escea inset gas fireplace 2. Cap the gas line safely — this is just for the fireplace, not a full house gas disconnect 3. Install an electric fireplace in the same cavity • Power is already present inside the cavity • Cavity size is approx. 710mm wide x 600mm high x 100mm deep • The tiled surround and hearth will remain as-is ✅ Requirements: • Must be a licensed gasfitter (able to provide a compliance certificate or written sign-off) • Clean, tidy removal and install work • Open to coordinating with electrician if power adjustments are needed Photos and measurements are available. I haven’t purchased the electric unit yet — open to recommendations if you’ve worked with these before. Would like the job completed in the next 2–3 weeks if possible. Cheers!
