Fire Place Inspection/Service

I have a property with a fireplace, I bought it about a year ago and the previously people that lived in it apparently used the fireplace. However since then it has been blocked off. I want to have someone come have a look at it, see if it is worth getting back upto scratch and conduct the work to do so. Photos attached of the fireplace. Believe the fireplace was installed sometime in the late 80s when the home was extended.
