Ducted Gas Issue

We have a Brivis Buffalo ducted gas heating unit (1989 model) that has malfunctioned. The pilot light will not stay lit, so we cannot use it. I suspect maybe a faulty thermocouple but unsure if this is fixable due to the age of the unit. We would really love someone with knowledge to take a look and advise/repair if possible.
