Fit gas hob

we have an existing gas hob which will be replaced by a new hob. The new hob connection is 100mm away from the existing connection. The access is awkward and the kitchen people suggest that the fitter installs the pipe before the benchtop is fitted then the fitter returns to complete the connection when the hob and benchtop are placed. We are expecting the benchtop to be installed in the week starting 13th. The cabinets should be in place by 30 October We need the regulator to be replaced at the same time pls
