Make a Nana Chair Modern

Heya, I was given my Nana's chair after she passed and I would like it to look a little more...modern. I'm not sure exactly what kind of fabric, but I was thinking a blue like the pillow or else a grey. There is no specific timeframe, I'm just keen to get it done in the next few months. Cheers, Leigha
