We've had a builders report come back on a house we are looking to buy. the roof has about 4-6 high points (including the ends) which shows subsidence. We have been told it needs to be repiled and would like to know how much it could cost to complete the work, when it could be completed, and how long the work would take to complete. It's 2bdrm + lounge+ kitchen wide and is one of the old state houses single storey. 1950s home.

We want to re-level the floors in our approx 100m sq,1940s weatherboard house prior to carrying out renovations. There is some unevenness in the floor and there has been obvious movement in the house over the last few years. We suspect this has been due to drains leaking underneath the adjacent driveway and are getting this sorted, but we are keen to get a clear picture of what else is going on (e.g. condition of piles) and the cost of returning the house to level.

We Had our house altered in 1995 and since then have had a really strong smell of damp and mustiness. We are on a steep grade and the houses back corner is dug into the bank and this is where the smell is coming from. We suspect there is possibly some drainage issues or something. There is access under this part of the house but I'm personably unable to get in there as I'm in my 70's. I need advise please.

We have an old state house from the 1940s. The floor has sunken in a couple of places. The piles are in good condition, the floor just need to be releveled, possibly with lifting house and putting wedges in. Floor area is 100 square meters, with easy access on a flat section.
