Leveling floor before putting vinyl wood plank floor

I would like to put vinyl wood plank on my kitchen floor but before it can be done the floor needs to be levelled. The floor is chipboard and there are dips on the floor and some surface of the chipboard in a very small area near the wall has come off when we removed yhe vinyl tiles which is probably expected in an old house. (built in 1975). I only need the floor to be levelled. I am hoping that it will be done this week.
