We are looking to remove the cork flooring in our kitchen. The cork flooring is approx 20mm thick and currently level with the wooden flooring adjoining the kitchen. We wish to drop the flooring in the kitchen enough so that it will be level with the floor adjoining the kitchen when we come to tiling the kitchen. We need to allow approx 15-20mm for tiling so this might require cutting into the beams slightly beneath the cork flooring to drop it to the necessary level. The area is approx 10m2. We are hoping to have the work completed as soon as possible.
