Vinyl floor removal and replacement

Our plumber has identified a leaking waste pipe which has gone undetected for some time and soaked the framing and Gib linings on two internal walls (some framing is black and Gib is moudly). Plumbing and building repairs are underway. However, the vinyl floor is also saturated. Can anyone assist with vinyl removal so we can dry the floor out and then lay new vinyl after? The Builder has identified that the vinyl may have asbestos backing. The house belongs to my 90 year old Aunt and I am assisting her to fix it.
