Job description

Wooden Floor Staining
Waitakere

Moving into a house in Sunnyvale that currently has carpet. It's 1950s built and a quick sneak peak under the carpet, it looks to have Matai Flooring(Guess could be wrong though). Total house is 80m2. Looking for pricing to stain/polish the wooden floors in 3 bedrooms totaling approx. 25-27m2, hallway(5 or so metre square). Kitchen and Lounge(Small). If you can take the old carpet way, that would be fabulous too - Just less hassle for me Would work great if someone can do this on the 28th March 2020 - I get possession of the house on the 27th Would need to know how long the task would take so I can coordinate time with furniture movers (House currently doesn't have any furniture in it)

Communication, and coming on time 5/5, quality of work not sure to be honest, my floor has been sanded well, looks okay. The gap between floorboards looks terrible though. All dust n rubbish is falling in the gaps. I did contact Harold after he completed my floor, initially, he said your house moves overtime so the floorboard needs space to move but when I insisted that the gaps are huge, he said you tell me which ones are big gaps and I can come n fill them (wired) as I believe all gaps it shou

Tradesperson reply
"The scope of job has been thoroughly explained. Stayed with the price even when the quote was past a year. Done some extra mile to keep customer happy. Filling gaps are not by default. It is not and no sander will recommend it as timber flooring must and will move with change of season. Kitchen was already sanded and coated before we redid and yet no mention of the gaps."
