Wood flooring install plus repair

We have an old house with wooden floor, an extension was added but never had the floor installed the same. I would like new wooden floor installed in the extension and blended into the existing floor where they meet. The extension forms part of the open plan living area and looks silly half carpeted. It might need installing then the whole room sanding and staining? Roughly 6m x 2.5m new floor to lay
