Water damaged chipboard floor. Want to have damaged part replaced. Thinking that should replace whole width of area but only as deep as the current first set of fixing screws. That area is about 2570(including skirting) x 90 mm. Can't tell thickness of current board (is swollen from water damage) without cutting a hole but is probably around 20mm. Swollen part is 25-30mm thick.
I have a replacement door and step lined up so just need the floor part done.
Note that the current floor is made up of two large pieces of flooring fixed length ways and the repair would be working across the width.
