Job description

Timber Flooring & Parquetry
Dunedin

In the junction between cork flooring in the kitchen and carpet in the hallway a sliding door moves across this junction. The height of the new carpet with the underlay and a metal bar means the door doesn't move smoothly across. The door is a pocket door installed in the mid 1980s. Flooring Xtra installed the carpet and say to fix this the pocket door must be removed - however it is built in so I am very reluctant to do this due to the cost and making good of the wall area to remove/reinstall the door. It is apparent that additional cork flooring is required so the door can shut, however it is a small area only. I need someone experienced with fixing this sort of issue. Currently there is a piece of large installation tape keeping the carpet in place.
