I have cork tiles in kitchen, dining room, hallway and bathroom. These need to be sanded back, patched in one area, and then re-varnished with at least four coats. I want to know if it is worth it financially and hassle wise, or if I should just put vinyl planks over it all. Possibly may also consider getting cork in the living room instead of carpet if it is worth getting it all fixed. Sadly what I have had put down several years ago is not in great condition now - the cork at my parents' home has lasted much better over 50 years with one re-varnish only - I would like mine to be as good a quality as theirs, or just have it removed if it can't be.
