Floor finishing

I am soon to have floor boards replaced and new kitchen installed. New ( but recycled)Floor boards currently have a wax/ oil coating not polyurethane. When new boards down i need the holes and gaps filled, light sand . Possibly re coat of wax or i could possibly do myself. Area medium/ smaller sized kitchen and dining area.
