Kitchen floor

Job description

Timber Flooring & Parquetry
Auckland

I’d like to have a herringbone wood floor laid. The current floor is Lino/Vinyl that will need to be removed. There are new cabinets going in, and the toe kicks will be added after the floor, so the edges don’t need to be neat, apart from the entrance (1M) this will be happening in the next 4-8wks. It’s a small/medium kitchen of 8M square. You will need to remove and discard old floor, any prep needed and also supply the wood etc for the new floor. Looking at a French oak style wood, fairly durable (I don’t expect actual oak, but something affordable in the same style) and for it to be finished/varnished in a pale, natural look. Will need to work with the cabinet installers for timing. Thank you.

STAY AWAY!! We'd agreed with Amit to do our kitchen floor & tiling. Job & wood was discussed in detail, quote accepted & 1 months notice of the start date given. I'd asked Amit about a deposit to order the wood, which was paid. Due date comes - no Amit, no work. Excuse after excuse followed & he continuously let us down. He put our kitchen reno back 2 weeks & cost us a lot more having to move other tradies around. He won't return our deposit, I am lodging a claim with the courts on Monday.
