Fence and Gate Modification
Job description
As per the first attached picture (only a rough guide) I need the gate and fence to be cut down to a 1.2m height. This is a council requirement, who will come out to inspect, and the picture is only intended to serve as a rough guide and example. This is to comply with the minimum sightlines requirement for pedestrian safety (see attached image from figure 30.3 from District Plan). District Plan Rule --- requires 2.0 x 2.5m sight triangles. You're welcome to send mock-up example of how this work may be done along with your quote. Although not a complex job, this is not a 10min job, needs to be measured properly and cut down nicely for when the council comes back to inspect. Inspections are welcome with prior notice as the house is tenanted. The gate I believe is metal. Specifics of the job are as follows (council specific wording will be provided): The fence facing the street, north of the access to the front house will need to taper down to 1.2m in height, 2.0m from the access. The gate will also need to be lowered to a 1.2 m high gate. The fence along the driveway to the back house will have to taper down to 1.2m, from 2.5m back along the accessway.

I simply couldn't fault Dave and his team. Dave was on to it, kept me up to date with everything noting I am not in the area, and was very transparent. Dave was initially going to go out and do the job (after managing to squeeze me into his busy schedule) but after he fell ill he organised for someone to go out as planned and get it done. Great person to deal with and great customer service.
