Emergency welding job for kids bike xmas present

Emergency welding job required before xmas day!!! A kids chopper bike we bought second hand as a christmas present is needing the seat re-welding. Took it into a shop in Cuba St who went and welded it the wrong way then said it was too late to fix and he's closed until Jan 8. Idiot! Photo is of seat before being welded the wrong way.
