Area to scrape/level and remove soil/clay

We need our back garden and an area down the side of the fence scraped, and levelled. The soil is mostly clay, so will need to be removed. Initially, we had a tradie in last year to do this. He suggested spreading out the soil and leveling it. I didn't realize it was clay, and that it actually needed removing. The area he levelled outside the fence is more like a raised garden bed, than a flat levelled area. Would like someone round at this stage to quote. Would like references/photos of work done this time as the work done last time turned out to be pretty bad. Ideally looking to get the work done in a few stages, and probably not starting until April.
