Create a digger pathway for house demolition

Job description

Soil Removal Hospital Hill, Napier

Published on 31st December 2024

My house was destroyed by a landslide in Nov 2020. Since then it has sat idle while I battled council, insurers & EQC. In addition a design for land remediation and new build has been developed which encompassed Geotechs, surveyors, structural engineers, architects, valuers etc. Before any of this work can commence, I am first required to demolish and remove by broken house. This is being driven by the council who have served me with a dangerous building notice with a $200k fine pending if I fail to comply. Before demolition can occur, I need to slope the land for my 5 tonne digger so it can get up to the back of the house. Sloping the land would likely also require chip metal to be placed on top to hold the soil during rain. I made a start on this stack with a 1.5tonne digger but rubber tracks don't cut the mustard. My digger has steel tracks. I am working away from home most of this coming year and will not be able to do this prep work. Looking for a someone to help with this preparation excavation works initially. Site visits would be required initially.
