Hillside excavation required for garage and foundations

I am planning to build a small house on a hillside section and am keen to get a quote on excavating to create a short section of driveway, room for a double garage and a small area of terracing above. To be really clear, I am not building a mansion so I am wanting to keep the excavation costs to a minimum.
