Repair for outdoor lighting and recessed lights

We have outdoor lights in the floor of our deck that need repair as they are retaining water and when the switch is turned on they blow the fuse for almost the entire downstairs of the house. They have been looked at previously by an electrician who recommended replacement, however due to time constraints I would be happy if we could just temporarily disconnect them somehow so that they don’t blow the fuse and look at replacement at a later date. Also we have several recessed lights in the ceiling where the clips have broken and they are falling out and we were hoping to get these repaired also. We had someone lined up to do this however they pulled out yesterday. We are hoping to get this done in the next few days if possible. Thanks
