I had a jug plugged in and it stopped working, made a terrible noise and smelled of burnt plastic, I assumed it was the jug but since then another power point stopped working when a phone was charging, the charger was hot and again burnt plastic smell. Also need to check another power point in a bedroom. Another job is to replace three dimmer light switches with plain switches.
