Replace wire on hot water cylinder

Hi there, We had a new hot water cylinder installed and the plumber recommended that the wires be replaced. “I have wired the cylinder up and it's safe and working. However the wiring is a little tired (the outer casing is cracking) and I think it would be good practice to get an electrician to replace it. It's not urgent so long as it's left alone but better safe than sorry. It's very straightforward and shouldn’t take more than an hour.”
