Installation of an electircal socket in the wall

I am wanting to know how much it would cost to have an electrical socket put into the wall of the hallway? This wall backs onto a bedroom wall that already has a socket in it (not directly behind where I want it but just along the wall a little bit). I am renting this property and the landlord is reluctant to put it in but I am hoping that a low quotation might change her mind!
