Me and my partner brought our house two years ago. We've recently attempted to start a renovation, however the council has advised that a previous renovation from 2008 was never issued with a CCC (bugger). We must now get the previous work approved before we can start new work. The renovation was combining two rooms (garage + study) in to one single room (study). The exact details of the electrical work was never stated in the plans, so I am assuming that all power points and light fittings in the room(s) could have been changed. A fuse box also exists in the new room, which was probably moved from the old garage, this will need to be checked too. If anything is not up to code, it will need to be modified so that it is. I realise it is a tall ask getting sign off on another electricians work from 10 years ago. However, I am hoping somebody is up for the task. 1x Fuse box 18x Recessed down lights (yuk!) 1x Double light switch (two lighting circuits) 7x Power outlets 1x Power outlet with a TV aerial The certificate will need to state exactly what was tested (see above) and note that the work affected by the building consent has been tested and is up to code. I can provide the building plan/specs/consent if you'd like to look over it. There is ceiling access to check the down-lights. Some of the wall lining has been removed (as part of other work), you can see some of the cable that was used. I'd prefer not to remove any more of the wall lining if it can be avoided. Preference would definitively be given to the the least invasive solution. Thanks,
