House rewire and mains entry cable
Job description
The work required, based on a pre-purchase inspection is: Install new mains entry box and mains cable from entry to switch board. Arrange new neutral screen mains cable to be installed from power pole to house (including all costs and inspection charges) Replace 2 x incorrect circuit breaker bases as switch board Install fireproofing behind switchboard Rewire all original rubber impregnated cloth in conduit/casing and rubber insulated wiring throughout home including lighting circuit and power point circuits. Reuse existing fixtures and fittings and replace any worn/damaged fittings as required. Carry out safety testing and provide Compliance Certificate for insurance. I think that some of the power circuits have probably been done over the years, and the kitchen has all been done, but the 4 bedrooms and halfway lighting circuits, and some of the power will likely need done. I'm also keen to get a few other bits and pieces done, such as adding a new switch for a bathroom fan, changing the HWC to night rate, fixing a faulty socked and installing some new plugs behind the tv.
