lights and powerpoints

we have had trouble with the light and power points in our lounge and hallway. neither of the powerpoints in the hall work (one did when we moved in16 months ago) and the lights in the lounge keep blowing - not all of them but we have replaced at least 10. somw are on dimmer switch which we don't use
