Job description

Powerpoints
Auckland

Five jobs: 1. Add one new powerpoint in the kitchen (dual outlet with switches). 2. Install two patch panels on either side of a wall and run a data/network/ethernet cable between them. 3. Replace the switch for the garage door, as the switch mechanism is old and sticky 4. Replace two light switches to add dimmers 5. Install additional fixed RCDs on the switchboard I need you to price up and provide all the parts and labour. My switchboard has three 30ma RCD's on it. I pushed the test button and all the RCD's tripped immediately as they should. Power was cut to some circuits: All powerpoints in bathrooms, all powerpoints in Laundry, powerpoint in kitchen near sink, some bedroom powerpoints. However power was NOT cut by RCD's to: Powerpoints near gas cooktop, some powerpoints in bedrooms, bathroom lights or bathroom extractor fan, fridge powerpoint. The house was built in 1994. I would like at least all powerpoints in the house, as well as both bathrooms (extractor fans and lighting) to be RCD protected. In a perfect world, the whole house would have a 100ma RCD as well for a second line of defense with discrimination. Sometimes I lean out of the shower while the water is running to switch on the extractor fan and lights in bathroom. I prefer extra RCD's be added rather than putting more circuits through the existing RCD's. My switchboard box is looking full, so I am not sure how we make room for extra RCD's. All four bedrooms in house have identical lights. Two bedrooms have dimmers that work beautifully, but two bedrooms have no dimmers. I need those two bedrooms to have dimmers.

Very happy with the work done by Jayse. Upgraded my switchboard to RCD protected circuit breakers (RCBOs) and installed a new power point for me. The work was done tidily and everything got done quickly and easily.
