Job description

Socket Outlets Parnell, Auckland

Published on 21st November 2025

I need a qualified electrician to install a single 230V power outlet inside a kitchen cupboard. This outlet is only for low-load devices (phone/tablet chargers and a Dyson stick vacuum charger). The cupboard is not at bench height and won’t be used for kettles, toasters, or other high-wattage appliances. The install location is very close to an existing 4-gang light switch (opposite side of the same interior wall). Neutrals are present behind the switch, so the outlet can likely be added by extending the lighting circuit if suitable (RCD protection and capacity). Otherwise I’m happy for you to advise and use the nearest power circuit instead. Please supply and install the outlet (PDL Iconic white), keep wall damage to a minimum, and provide a COC. Access is straightforward and I can provide photos if needed. Please quote labour, materials, and estimated timing. I have a couple more similar electrical jobs to do, which we can arrange if this goes well.
