Replacing 1960s door handles with modern door handles

I've bought some new door handles from Mitre 10 that I was going to install but when I removed the old door handles I discovered the hole isn't big enough - it needs to be 54mm and I don't have a 54mm hole saw to make the hole bigger. There are four doors that I have passage sets for, one bathroom door that I have a privacy set for and one front door that I have an entrance set for (6 doors total). Removing the existing handle and lock on the front door is going to leave a hole in the door that would need to be filled afterwards, so I might just forget about replacing that one and take the entrance set back to Mitre 10 if replacing it is going to be too expensive/too much work. I'm looking for someone to replace the 6 door handles.
