Job description
Use interior trim that matches the existing trim profile. Choose doors (wooden fully double glazed) that roughly look like what's on the plans. Get me to approve them before you buy them. Either arrange the first 4 of 5 council inspections yourself or tell me when each stage is done and I'll book them. Whichever's easier for you. Fill in any paperwork the council requires from you such as memorandum from LBP. Leave the removed weatherboards behind on site, even if they're damaged. Building consent is approved and I can send you the plans and specifications before quoting.

The did it tidily, when they said they would, and cheaply. The builders who did the work, Ron and Greta, were very professional - I never heard any shouting, swearing, or signs of frustration. They just worked carefully and competently with attention to detail. Caleb was clear about what they were going to do and pointed out some decisions I hadn't thought of. The only lack of communication was taking a few weeks to send the memorandum from LBP afterwards.
