MAKE MY HOME SECURE

I want security fittings fitted to my windows and deadbolts fitted to my doors to improve security in a house I am moving to.I am thinking Yale window stays. I am not sure how many windows at this stage. The windows currently have those long metal arms that lock onto little bumps on the ledge but they are all out of line since the quakes so I need help to make my new home secure asap.
