Remove old blinds, install new ones

We have two windows with old metal blinds that need to be removed and replaced with new honeycomb blinds. They are attached to aluminum windows. The new blinds came with the required brackets and screws (all materials required for installation), but the instructions say you need a drill and bits (1/8") and a level. Not sure what will be required to remove the existing blinds.
