My driveway consists of about 35m of metal for the driveway entrance until a cattle grid, and then 270m of shellrock going uphill, and 115m of metal (although all the metal has almost gone) on the flat. I am looking at all options of upgrading the driveway. The problem with the shellrock is that it continually needs to be replaced and as the driveway is tree-lined with large poplars it is a never ending job removing the millions of leaves from the guttering to stop the rain streaming down the driveway and destroying the drive. Options are: - Shellrock for the whole driveway and continual leaf removal - Shellrock for the uphill driveway and metal for the top (this is how it is now) & entrance & leaf removal - Chipseal or concrete for the uphill driveway and metal for the top & entrance - Chipseal or concrete for the whole driveway Hopefully you will be able to visit in the next couple of weeks to provide a quote. Time-frame for the work is to have it completed before winter.. Thanks! Robin
