Job image

Job description

Concrete Driveways & Paths
Waitakere

Your job is to excavate, form and pour a concrete pad of around 20sqm for a car to park on, and a concrete foot path of about 13 metres long by 1 metre wide. You'll also be boring holes for, and placing posts for a fence that will run alongside the footpath (I'll be taking care of the rest of the fence). Specifically, you will scrape and remove soil to a depth of 200mm below existing adjacent concrete work, lay basecourse of 100mm, lay reinforcing steel mesh over parking pad and footpath with mesh sitting on plastic chairs. Bore 11 post holes along the length of the foot path you'll be forming to a depth of 600mm. I'll supply the posts (100mm x 100mm x 1800mm). Place and level posts before pouring concrete. You then supply and place concrete to a level of 100mm depth over entire area of pad and path.

Lloyd did a great job and it was very nicely finished -looks superb. My only gripe would be that there was some initial hesitation to lay the base course at the agreed thickness, but once the issue was raised, Lloyd ensured it was done to spec and the end result was great. He is really quick to respond, very punctual, and was able to get started on the job pretty much straight away, and he kept to the schedule. Clearly a very experienced contractor and does great work.
