Make the side of my property maintenance free

From the back steps of my house I have a smallish area that is in a slope that I want to be made maintenance free. It is currently set in 4 “areas” however I’m hoping that it can all be concreted with maybe done small retaining walls if needed due to slope. Photos give indication of what it currently looks like - I do t want to spend mega bucks to get something that stops the weeds and is a utilitarian area that connects to our back patio where our main garden is
