Job description

Concrete Driveways & Paths
North Shore

We have a section of driveway which needs replacement, approx 1m x 15m. This runs along a low retaining wall. The sunken slab has been stable for a number of years, and it looks like the wall is stable, but the slab has fallen because the fill was either inadequately compacted, or has eroded. An appropriate section of the driveway will need to be removed and re-poured. Perhaps the wall should be re-anchored to the other side of the drive, but would take professional advice on the matter. Access is not the easiest. This is at the top of a long and steep drive which is fine for normal vehicles, but you won't get heavy plant up there. Probably the existing slabs will need to be broken up and removed by ute, and then the replacement will either need to be mixed on site or pumped up.
