Laying pavers for front garden path (5.2m)

Ground prep and laying. Dig the trench for the concrete pavers (60cm x 60cm), the ground is clay so lots of big clumps. Lay and compress the base layer, then lay and level the sand. Finally, lay the pavers. I would hope this could be done in an afternoon, but I have never attempted this before so it might be a full day job. The path is 5.2m long, and I am really looking to get the ground underneath flat so the pavers sit flat on top.
