Asphalting over existing driveway? #2

Hi, I had my EQC claim reopened and my garage floor needs to be repaired. However, rather than use the money to repair the corner of the garage, I would like to asphalt my driveway and the garage (not sure if it can be done etc). My driveway is old school with the grass down the middle. It is about 2.5m wide by approx 20m long. I'm hoping that it could just be built up higher and asphalted over? There are stones in the middle section (not grass) and there are stones on either side of the driveway- one side is a garden- the other side- just stones over dirt. I want to do the cheapest option. lol. Thanks, Tess
