Brick laying over existing path #2

Laying old style chimney style bricks over existing path at the front of my house. I already have some bricks taken from the old chimney but will have to buy more , if you have access to more then that's even better. Will need to use sand as I am wanting to prevent weeds that are making their way up through the existing path . Wouldn't think it would take too much work ... Looking to spend up to $500 plus cost of bricks. See the attached photos .
