Musty smell in carpet

Old tenant moved out and new tenant has moved in, after two days in the room he's begun complaining about a musty smell in the room. Tried the homegrown methods of cleaning (baking soda + vinegar) and it hasn't gotten rid of the smell. Smell seems to be situated in a corner of the room and a wardrobe. I am concerned this may be due to mold so would like someone to come in soon, today if possible, to have a look and see if it needs professional sanitization.
